I always like to throw in a little something for everyone to show my appreciation for your support and to make it a little more fun. I know that I always LOVE to get an extra when I order online, no matter how small. It’s like being a kid again waiting to see what the surprise will be!
For orders of over $100 retail, the grab bag freebie will always be a minimum of $8.00.
NOTE: Retail refers to any size applicable to personal or hobby use. For example, shea butter sizes up to 1kg would count fully. An order for 5lbs would not be counted fully towards the final total, although as I said, EVERY order will include something with the exception of Soap Naturally books. That’s because it makes it much more difficult to ship them and risk of spillage etc could ruin the book. Orders for books only come with a disount for any eguides that we offer (our library will continue to grow!).
I try to match the grab bag freebie to the order. If you order essential oils I may throw in an esstential oil, if you order an assortment of skincare oils, I’ll probably add one of those.

RSS or EMAIL?

The best way to get your updates is right to your email.
I’ve set the blog so that you will receive updates once per week so that if I have a lot to say one week, you won’t be overwhelmed with email. You can do that by filling in the subscribe form on the top right hand side of the blog.
If you have a feed reader, I love to use google for almost everything, you can subscribe by RSS. Every time you login to your Google account you will see any updates to the Skincare Naturals blog including new page/product updates and anything else that is new there. You can set it so that new posts will show directly on your Google homepage or if you prefer, you can set it so that you can view them all on your reader. It’s easy, you can get a free account at http://www.google.com That includes a ton of other tools as well that you might want to check out. I find it especially handy because I use my desktop and laptop computers so I can keep things online, as well as share files with other google users if the need arises.
SKN News…
The only option for SKN News at this time is to arrive to your email. I send them out from 1 – 4 times per month. SKN News includes any important updates, ingredient spotlight article and recipe, notifications of sales, prebuys etc and a little blurb from me.
It’s good to be on this list if you want to stay up to date as this is sent real time. That means if something comes up you will find out when you need to know, not a week later.

SHIPPING
All orders are shipped via Canada Post.
Most orders within Ontario and some smaller packets to Quebec and Manitoba ship express. Turn around time is usually 1-2 days for in stock items so some parcels arrive next day. Let me know if you are especially in a hurry, depending on how busy I am there may be a surcharge of $5.00 for a rush order.
Orders within Canada but outside of Ontario go expedited unless otherwise requested. Delivery is typically 1 week or under from ship date. Small packet orders may go express.
Small package orders to the US will go by air, it is much quicker, insured and trackable and usually only costs a few dollars more.
Larger packages are shipped expedited. Typical delivery time is 1 – 2 weeks after it leaves my building, depending on where in the US you are (southern and western states are the longest delivery times).
SHIP RATES – SAVE BIG! As you know, ship costs can be a royal pain, not only paying them, but wondering how much it will be, so I have put together this chart so that you can easily get a good idea how much any order will cost you to ship before you order.
Orders between 4kg – 15kg ship weight (approximately 8 – 30lbs) are capped at the maximum charge for your area, this can result in some big savings!
US RESIDENTS PLEASE NOTE: I can’t guarantee that orders to the US will not incur any additional cost upon pick up due to taxes or border fees, it may depend on your location. If in doubt, best to ask at your postal outlet. Please allow plenty of time for shipping, up to 2 – 3 weeks depending on location.

Particulars that may be useful when you are placing an order…
ORDERING INFORMATION
The fastest way to place and receive your order is through our online cart. This gives me online access to your order and it is stored there for future reference.
Email orders can get lost, not arrive at all and are more likely to take longer, have complications etc so I don’t take them unless absolutely necessary. As a general rule, if the item you need is on the cart, that’s the best way to go.
If you prefer not to pay by paypal or credit card, you can select the money order option and leave a note for me in the note section of the cart with any details that you would like me to know about.

Click the link to open our SNAIL MAIL FORM if you prefer to order by mail.
Simply print it out, fill it in and mail with payment. It is important that you make cheques payable to Janice Ferrante to avoid any delays from the bank.
If you would like to use the form but pay with your credit card, just email me and I will send you a request for funds through email using paypal’s secure link – no account is needed to use it.
MINIMUM ORDER
Minimum order is $35.00 for Canadian destinations and 45.00 for US destinations (if you’re wondering, this is because often small packets cost me more to ship than the cart charges. This allows me to bypass a handling fee as the order will at least be large enough to cover the extra that I pay out of my pocket to ship. Also due to customs etc there is more paperwork and more likelihood of followup for orders etc since they do take longer to arrive.)
If you really want to make a smaller order, you can email me but there will be a $5 service fee and actual shipping applies. I need to ship in a box that will fit the ship label as well although it doesn’t necessarily have to be full – just wanted to let you know in case your order arrives in a larger box.

ONTARIO – GST, PST unless you have a pst number, please email for a form that must be filled in and sent to me.
New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador (13% in the GST spot)

PAYMENT
We accept cheque, money order, email transfer and paypal/credit cards.
At this time paypal will process credit cards even if you don’t hold an account.
This system means that I never see your credit card information and all information is issued through a secure server.
Paypal is one of the largest and most used payment systems online, it’s much safer to pay this way than to give out your personal credit card information to be processed by hand. It’s always a good idea to check when you are making a payment to find out exactly where your information goes. Even if it appears secure, sometimes payments are processed manually, which can mean that anyone with access to the system within the company can see your credit information – that could include owners, employees or anyone with access to the company computer or records.
The payment process will take you directly to the paypal site to process your card or instant payment if you are paying with your paypal account or by credit card.
All prices are Canadian, so you need to be sure to select Canadian funds when you make your payment. It’s very easy.
I do not take US cheques at this time due to currency fluctuations etc but if it’s a problem, send me an email and we can probably help you.
Cheque payments will take longer to process as there is mail time and then time for the bank to clear the check. Money orders are quicker but riskier due to the chance of them getting lost in the mail. It hasn’t happened yet, but I can’t take responsibility for the off chance that your money order does not arrive to me.
Email transfers can be done quickly, right from your internet banking account.
PACKAGING
At Skincare Naturals we like to practice what we preach. We use recycled packaging materials when ever possible. This includes boxes of all kinds, shredded newspaper packaging and you might even find your invoice printed on the other side of a printed piece of paper or on recycled paper. We hope that you don’t find this offensive. We are more inclined to find fancy packaging that goes straight to landfill and uses up our natural resources to be more offensive.

Don’t forget that you can do your part.
Did you know that if you ask, your grocery store may have paper bags available? The check out girl may look at you like you’re nuts, just offer to help pack if it makes you feel better. Don’t be shy, you are the customer. Go a step further and request that the store manager train their staff to give their customers a choice. When I worked at the grocery store eons ago, we always had to ask, do you want paper or plastic?
You can also keep a stash of plastic bags in your vehicle, or go first class and purchase some of those handy totes you can buy or the plastic storage boxes available at some stores, they’d be handy for a lot of things if you keep them in your trunk ready to go for any shopping trip.
I love them.
QUICK TIP: You can even keep a shopping bag or two in your purse. I also reuse the plastic veggie bags for my veggies instead of getting a new one every time. It’s also easier than wrestling with those rolled bags!
