Oregano Essential Oil
A very potent germ killer, Oregano is also a harsh oil used seldom in skin care but often in the sick room.
Dilute with care. Some people use this oil highly diluted in olive oil (further diluted into milk or water) to take internally for flu/sickness. I did not purchase this oil for internal use.
I like to use it in my spray bottle with some water for cleaning my house and in the diffuser/vaporizer when we are sick.
It also great possibilities used in very dilute percentages to give any blend a fresh, herbal note, similar to tea tree but a touch fresher and less medicinal. Try it with lavender, tea tree, lemons and citrus oils. I wouldn’t recommend it for use in a facial product.
Has possibilities for pain relief when used with caution – a warming oil that can burn the skin.
Safety: Do not use on sensitive skin. Highly irritating (will burn if not highly diluted). Avoid in pregnancy and on babies/children.
