Myrtle Leaf Essential Oil
Scent: I find this oil to be soothing and fresh but not overwhelmingly so, another favourite of mine. Slight evergreen tone with a citric but mellow backnote, if that makes any sense :0)
Blends to try: citrus, evergreen, sandalwood, frankincense lavender and clary sage.
Uses: I ordered this oil solely for it’s skincare value (especially for mature skin :0) but am looking forward to working with it’s scent as well.
Although one of it’s uses is said to be to combat insomnia, I’ve been using this oil in my diffuser to perk me up a bit when I’m sagging at the keyboard, it has a wonderful balance to it, calming yet energizing.
Balancing and revitalizing, it is often used for oily skin and acne.
A very gentle choice for children with respiratory conditions and colds, my number one pick for the diffuser during cold/flu season.
