Frankincense Frereana Essential Oil – Steam Distilled – India
Scent: I find this frankincense to be extremely refreshing with a full, almost fruity undertone. Very clean scent, like a breath of fresh air. I can’t wait to make some soap with this and a few light citrus oils like lemon 5 fold and white grapefruit with a touch of clary sage.
Base note.
Blends to try: basil, bergamot, cardamom, cedarwood, chamomile, cinnamon, coriander, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, lavender, lemon, orange, patchouli, rose, sandalwood.
As soon as I opened this oil I knew I had to blend it with my new clary sage. Fantastic! Also a natural with juniperberry.
Uses: Antiseptic, astringent, carminative, digestive, diuretic, sedative, tonic and expectorant.
Frankincense is used in facial creams and oils for aging skin, bacterial and fungal infections and as a treatment for joint pain and arthritis, asthma and chest congestion. Used as an insect repellent.
Wonderful in the diffuser. Used in meditation.
Safety: generally non irritating although it is always recommended to spot test before using any new product.
