SOAPMAKING BOOK 

If you like to learn with a reference book, the Soap Naturally Book is one of the best on the market. It is very thorough and the kind of book that you will refer to often for ingredient information, recipes and how to.

If you like to learn by seeing and doing, which works for me, I am really excited to be able to recommend Soap Making Fun!

It is in video format, you get it through instant download that you can watch anytime on your computer.

If you have a laptop, it would be great to take with you when you make your soap.

They show you step by step how to make cold process soap.

To be honest, when I started viewing it I was ready for some commercialized how to that really doesn't show you how to, but Jon has obviously studied the craft and provides real, hands on how experience.

It's just like watching someone who obviously knows soapmaking make soap, and he explains what and why he is doing it all the way along.

When I first made soap, I really would have loved to have had this. It took me awhile to figure out "the moves", you can see them right before your eyes with the video.

Considering that there is a very real safety factor in making soap, I am very happy to recommend this resource.

This is the video that I always had wished I could make to help beginners safely learn how to make soap.

It has pretty much anything you might want to know about making soap.

Another good way to learn to make soap is to go to a local soap making class.

I don't have a listing, but if you teach, you can put your link up in the comments section.

I can't personally vouch for anyone, but it may give anyone a starting point to look into if you are looking for a class.
