CLOSING AUG 25 to SEPT 2 – COLD PROCESS SOAP MAKING VIDEO SALE COMING UP
Hi Guys, I hope that you've been enjoying the summer.
Ours seems to be just arriving, I hope that it is planning to stay awhile.
Just wanted to let you know that I will not be shipping orders between August 25 – and Sept 2 so that I can spend the last week of the summer holidays with the kids, getting things ready for school etc etc.
In the DIY spirit, I am really trying to focus on making more food items from scratch as well.
Especially in the area of school lunches. I really don't like sending my kids to school with the processed snacks that they end up with if I don't bake etc.
Also, I'd like to do more home cooking, mostly for health reasons as well as garbage reasons.
Far too much packaging going into the garbage or recycling that could be avoided by more from scratch foods.
I am also going to put in a late crop of veggies that can go in this time of year like some leafy greens.
They are so nutritious – I have been eating a lot of spinach lately – I put it in green smoothies and also warm it up when I fry our fresh eggs – it's growing on me!
But with all of the issues these days with tainted and treated produce – it's one more reason to do it yourself.

Also, I am in the process right now of putting a new cart on the handmadesoap.ca site which will include some new features to make shopping much easier and some new organic soaping oils for some green and clean organic soap making this fall.
