Making Natural Insect Repellent

I have been enjoying making my own natural insect repellent for a few years now, I would never want to go back to store bought.

I do find that application needs to be more frequent, but it is well worth it.

One technique that works for me is to put the essential oils that you want to use in a cream or lotion and apply that first. Then carry a spritzer with you and spray that when ever you feel the need, it’s almost like using a one – two punch!

I like being able to make a few so that I have a selection depending on my mood as well. And I am much more comfortable with my kids using them than using a commercial brand, especially one containing deet.
