Easy Christmas Shopping.
That is my number one wish for Christmas – besides having all of the kids around and being able to see my sister and nephews/nieces and the rest of the family. So far so good on that one, they aren’t old enough to escape yet.
So I was really happy when the good old Regal catalogue was revived.
I’ve always been a big fan of Regal Greetings and Gifts and have bought and sold from their catalogue for almost as long as I can remember since I’ve had a family.
They are a Canadian company that closed for awhile and now have come back better than ever. I especially like their new web capabilities, you can order and ship directly from your computer! That’s my kind of shopping!
I’ve set up my web store, all you need to do is go there, select what you want and choose direct ship. I will let you know if there is anything on backorder and Regal will ship it directly to your address.
That’s the way I like to do my Christmas shopping, let me tell you!
I love REGAL because they are reasonably priced and have really unique items. I still have so many kitchen gadgets that I actually use from years ago in my kitchen, I was truly happy when they reopened and came back even better.
Here’s the link if you want to make Christmas a snap this year. Go to the ’shop’ link to find product details and direct order links. You can see ship info at the ‘my story’ link.

SOAP MAKING STUFF TOO!
I’ve ordered a few things also that I’m looking forward to use in making soap – they have a double boiler pot that is a one piece unit – I am looking forward to that because I don’t like the condensation that often collects in my old double boiler system – a metal mixing bowl over a pot :0)
I’ve also ordered an oven mat that I am going to cut to make some reusable soap mold liners and various Christmas tags (some of these will make nice little thank you cards for your soap customers) and stickers to use on my Christmas soaps.
I’ll keep you posted on those when they come in, meantime check them out for yourself if you are looking for something nice, economical and a little different.
I came across this article that I thought was really interesting.
I am not recommending the products in particular, I know nothing about them, but I think that the information in the article is great if you workout or if you sell your own products you may be able to put an all natural ‘after exercise’ line together.
I’d like to work on this myself as I’ve been a member at Club Fit Yummy Mummy for 2 years now (we’re doing a preholiday challenge right now to be prepared for the fun over the holidays) and I love it. I find it to be quick, effective and the support there is amazing.
I usually have my shower before my workout to energize me, warm up my muscles and to open my pores. Then I have a quick shower after to rinse off all of the sweat and I have often thought how skin is in prime condition after a workout for good, natural skin care since it’s warm and the pores are clean and open (for excellent absorption of what ever we use – on the flip side – it’s also prime time for absorbing toxins into our systems through our skin through skin care that contains who know what.
So, here’s the article, I’d love to hear if you have any suggestions or if you have a skin care routine that you use after you exercise.
Skin Care Routine After Exercise
We all know that healthy skin care and nutrition go together but the exact why’s and how come’s are fuzzy.
I came across this article that I thought was really interesting. It has good info on some nutritional points that may not be exactly common knowledge, but I also like the information on how some of the organs in your body helps to maintain and build nice skin – and how we can support those organs.
I’ve noticed myself since making my diet a bigger priority that my skin has improved. My biggest discovery has been green smoothies.
I’ll post more information about those coming up. (I went on a raw/green smoothie challenge for a week once when my daughter was away. When she came back she said my skin looked like water. I didn’t even ask!. That sold me! – my largest skin care problems are large pores and a ruddy complexion.)
My current challenge is to spend more time in the kitchen making ‘real food’ and to cut the crap out of the cupboards (again). (if you want more info on that or if you’d like to get to know me better, you can check out my ‘at home’ blog and my health journey blog where I will have more indepth info about these things – My Home Blog and Healthy Habits Blog.
Here’s the link to the article if you’d like to have a look. You need to scroll down a bit to get Dr. Mercola’s comments and the additional information.
Healthy Skin Care Nutrition
While there are plenty of things that you can do to on the outside, getting in the habit to care for your skin and to keep it healthy from the inside is always a good idea – and a great place to start when brainstorming your next natural skin care creation.
If you need some help, the Soap Naturally book and my How to Make Body Butter eguide are a great place to start.
